About us
At Law Rewritten, we explore law and government through a modern lens. This platform is a space for thoughtful blogs and articles that examine legal issues, public policy, and the systems shaping our society today. Rather than focusing on technical legal language or textbook explanations, Law Rewritten looks at how law shows up in real life – in current events, social debates, and the questions people don’t always think to ask. Each piece aims to unpack complex ideas, challenge assumptions, and encourage readers to engage more critically with the legal and governmental forces that affect their everyday lives.
Our Mission
While conducting research on how victim status is determined in violent crime cases, I began to notice a pattern, one that quickly became impossible to ignore. Victims were being overlooked, not because of a lack of evidence, but because of how the system chose to perceive them. What started as academic work became deeply personal. Law Rewritten was created to confront these blind spots, ask the questions others often avoid, and make the justice system more accessible, honest, and rooted in real people’s experiences.
